Joe Oxford

Construction Director

Having graduated from the University of Reading in 2008 with a BSc(Hons) in Land Management, Joe joined a prominent regional developer in the Middle East, where he worked on a number of high profile developments. After a successful period in the Middle East, Joe returned to the UK to further his studies, undertaking a Masters Degree in Programme and Project Management at Warwick University, before joining Network Rail, spending 4 years in the Investment Projects team. Since leaving Network Rail, Joe has worked in a number of multidisciplinary consultancies, with a focus on sports and leisure, education and residential development.

Joe prides himself on guiding and driving developments forward, taking personal responsibility for all aspects of a project, with particular focus on cost and programme, and quality of the pre-contract client and design team outputs, as well as the construction works on site, and thefinished product destined for its end user.

In his role as Construction Director, Joe is responsible for the efficient and effective management of Court Collaboration’s pre-planning and pre-construction development processes; ensuring the business’ and investor’s requirements are fully incorporated into early design specifications, planning applications and subsequent construction contracts. Joe’s role also sees him responsible for managing the Professional, Design and Construction Teams once a development has moved into the construction phase; ensuring best practices are followed, costs are controlled, programmes are adhered to and the highest standards of quality are maintained, bringing those early business and investor concepts and requirements to fruition. Joe also promotes the company’s policies on Health and Safety on site and the requirements of Health and Safety Legislation, and ensures safe working practices are actively encouraged.

Having been a keen rugby player in his spare time, playing in the National Leagues until too many injuries forced him into early retirement, Joe now spends much of his spare time trying, and often failing, to play golf. Joe also enjoys exploring the countryside, taking long walks with his family and usually reluctant English Bulldog.
